California Privacy Disclousre
The Cross Insurance, Inc. and its affiliates (collectively, “The Cross Insurance,” “we,” “us” and “our”) cares about protecting your privacy and personal information. We provide this California Consumer Privacy Act Notice for The Cross Insurance(“CCPA Notice” and “Notice”) in accordance with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act of 2020 (collectively, the “CCPA”). This Notice applies solely to Personal Information we collect from or about California residents, as defined by the CCPA (referenced as “you” and “your”), and supplement our Privacy Policy.
This Notice uses the CCPA’s definition of “Personal Information,” which means categories of information that identifies, relates to, describes, or is reasonably capable of being associated with, or could reasonably be linked, directly or indirectly, to a particular individual or household. “Personal Information” does not include publicly available information or consumer information that is deidentified or aggregate consumer information. This CCPA Notice does not apply to personal information that is is excluded from the CCPA’s scope, such as personal information covered by certain sector-specific privacy laws, such as the HIPAA, the FCRA, GLBA or the Driver’s Privacy Protection Act of 1994. These also do not apply to personal information we collect when we are acting as a “service provider” to process information pursuant to a contract with one of our business customers.
Collection and use of personal information
We collect personal information from and about you for a variety of purposes. For example, we use personal information to fulfill your requests, process your transactions and provide our Service to you; to communicate with you; for marketing and advertising purposes; to monitor, improve, and develop our Service; and to protect the security and integrity of our business, comply with legal requirements and obligations; for our business and operational purposes; and as otherwise permitted or required by law.

Disclosure of personal information
We share personal information with third parties for business purposes. The categories of third parties to whom we disclose your personal information for a business purpose include:

We do not currently “sell” or “share” personal information as it is defined under the CCPA. For purposes of this Notice, “sold” means the disclosure of Personal Information or Sensitive Personal Information to a third party for monetary or other valuable consideration; and “shared” means the disclosure of Personal Information or Sensitive Personal Information to a third party for cross-context behavioral advertising.

The Right to Know
any or all of the following information relating to your personal information we have collected and disclosed in the last 12 months, upon verification of your identity:
- The specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you;
- The categories of personal information we have collected about you;
- The categories of sources of the personal information;
- The categories of personal information that we have disclosed to third parties for a business purpose, and the categories of recipients to whom this information was disclosed;
- The categories of personal information we have sold and the categories of third parties to whom the information was sold; and
- The business or commercial purposes for collecting or selling the personal information.

You also have the right to be free of discrimination for exercising these rights. However, please note that if the exercise of these rights limits our ability to process personal information (such as in the case of a deletion request), we may no longer be able to provide you our products and services or engage with you in the same manner.
Because we do not use or disclose Sensitive Personal Information for the purpose of inferring characteristics about you, and because we limit our use and disclosure of Sensitive Personal Information to those purposes specified in this Notice, you do not have the right to limit its use and disclosure.
To submit your California Consumer Rights Requests.
You may submit a request to exercise your California Consumer Rights through one of the mechanisms described below. We will need to verify your identity before processing your request, which may require us to request additional personal information from you. In certain circumstances, we may decline or limit your request, particularly where we are unable to verify your identity or locate your information in our systems, or as permitted by law.
To exercise your California Consumer Rights, please submit a request by emailing privacy@The Cross Insurance.com with “California Rights Request” in the subject line. Alternatively, you may send us this request by telephone at1-844-735-2912 or by sending a message on the Contact Us section on the Site.
Upon receipt of an authorized, verifiable request to exercise one of your rights under the CCPA, we will work to honor your request within forty-five days of our receipt of your request. We will inform you during that time period if it will take longer than forty-five days to honor your request. We will also inform you during that time period if and why we are not able to honor all or part of your request, such as if it conflicts with other applicable laws or if the requested information is not subject to the CCPA’s access or deletion rights.
Our response to your exercise of this right to request information will cover the above categories in the twelve-month period preceding your request. We are not obligated to fulfill more than two such requests in any twelve-month period. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.
